History in Brief
The Rotary Club of Shrewsbury Severn started life in Shawbury to the North of Shrewsbury in 1987 and was originally named The Rotary Club of Shawbury and Mid-Shropshire.
However, over the years more and more of our charitable work and donations were directed to Shrewsbury.
In 2016, after much deliberation, the members decided to rename itself The Rotary Club of Shrewsbury Severn, a moniker thought more closely to represent the new position.
About Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club
The Club currently has 24 members from various walks of life.
The members and their guests (we encourage this) meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month at The Beaconsfield Club, Meadow Place, Shrewsbury, SY1 1PD.
The other 2 Clubs in Shrewsbury meet respectively at breakfast (Shrewsbury Darwin) and lunchtime (Rotary Club of Shrewsbury).
We enjoy a meal and fellowship, often being entertained by a speaker.
